01 Project Description

The Indonesian battery cell project, controlled by Tsingshan Group and operated by Lanjun New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in the Weda Bay Industrial Park in Indonesia, represents a key component of the global nickel supply chain and new energy battery materials.

The project, located in Weda Bay on Halmahera Island in Indonesia, boasts world-class nickel ore resources. The project includes 12 pyrometallurgical nickel-ferrometallurgical production lines, a hydrometallurgical nickel-cobalt smelter, three supporting coal-fired power plants, and three large-scale terminals. Upon completion, the project will create a comprehensive industrial park encompassing laterite nickel ore, nickel intermediates, and new energy battery materials.


The massive base, with its dense concentration of smelting, refining, and supporting production facilities, places extremely stringent demands on the stability, efficiency, and quality of its power supply. Therefore, advanced power compensation equipment is required to ensure power quality and stable production line operation. Furthermore, the unique tropical island environment, characterized by high temperatures, high humidity, high salt spray corrosion, and potential voltage fluctuations, poses significant challenges to power equipment.


02 Solution


YDK-SVG

Static VAR generator

It is a new type of power electronic device used to dynamically compensate for reactive power and manage three-phase imbalance. It can analyze the reactive content of the load current by sampling the load current, and then control and actively output the corresponding reverse reactive current, and respond quickly to compensate for the reactive component in the load current, thereby achieving dynamic tracking compensation.


YDFK composite switch

It automatically switches on and off at the voltage zero crossing point and the current zero crossing point, achieving inrush current-free switching. It utilizes a magnetic latching relay for low power consumption and no harmonic injection. It also features comprehensive self-diagnostic and protection features, including voltage anomaly protection, phase loss protection, and fault self-diagnosis.


CKSG reactors

They effectively absorb grid harmonics, improve the system voltage waveform, and enhance the system power factor. They also effectively suppress closing inrush current and switching overvoltage, effectively protecting capacitors.
