01 Project Description

Kaiquan Group Co., Ltd. is a leading enterprise in the domestic pump industry and related supporting products field, with a large-scale production base and advanced production and testing equipment.

To ensure a precise and stable production rhythm, the power system needs to cope with frequently changing loads. However, the original reactive power compensation methods are insufficient in terms of response speed and adaptability. Therefore, YDK-SVG series static var generators from Yide Technology were selected as the power management solution.

02 Solution

YDK-SVG

A static var generator (SVR) is a new type of power electronic device used for dynamic reactive power compensation and three-phase imbalance control. It can analyze the reactive power content of the load current by sampling the load current, then control and actively output the corresponding reverse reactive current, and respond quickly to compensate for the reactive component in the load current, thus achieving dynamic tracking compensation.

As a new generation of power electronic devices, static var generators possess millisecond-level ultra-fast response capabilities, enabling precise and stepless dynamic compensation for instantaneous load changes. This solution fundamentally overcomes the shortcomings of traditional capacitor bank switching delays, achieving a technological leap from "passive compensation" to "active intelligent compensation."

On-site monitoring showed that the system power factor was greatly improved and remained at a very high level . At the same time, reactive power demand on the grid side was effectively suppressed, load current was more balanced, and the load-carrying capacity of the transformer and the overall stability of the power supply system were significantly improved.

This upgrade not only helped the customer optimize their electricity cost structure and achieve energy conservation and consumption reduction, but also provided a solid power guarantee for the long-term stable operation of their production equipment.
