01. Site description

The domestic water supply project in Xiangshan Town, Shehong City, Sichuan Province is located in the hinterland of the mountainous area. The existing water supply system relies on high-pressure water pumps to draw water from the water source. The power supply line is more than 5 kilometers long, and the terminal voltage fluctuates frequently. Especially during the peak water consumption hours in the morning and evening, the voltage deviation exceeds ±10%, causing the water pump motor to frequently overload and shut down. The power grid structure in the mountainous area is weak, the line impedance is large, and the inductive loads such as water pump motors cause a low power factor, resulting in high power regulation charges.

Traditional capacitor compensation cabinets are slow to respond and cannot adapt to sudden load changes. In addition, high humidity and aging equipment further exacerbate the problem of unstable power supply. The new water plant needs to achieve 24-hour continuous water supply, which places strict requirements on power quality and equipment reliability.
