A low-voltage static Var generator (SVG) is a self-commutated bridge circuit that is directly connected in parallel to the power grid through a reactor. The phase and amplitude of the output voltage on the AC side of the bridge circuit are appropriately adjusted, or the AC side current is directly controlled, so that the circuit actively generates reactive current that meets the requirements, thereby achieving the purpose of dynamic reactive compensation.
